Seller Tips/Protection
1. Determine your item's worth
2. Pricing your auction items
By setting a low opening bid, you'll likely kick off the bidding process. Getting that first bid is highly important because most buyers are more prone to put in a bid if there already are bids on the auction. Bids are made in increments of $1 or more.
3. Describe your item
The more detail you use the better. Be sure to include well-lit, well-composed easy-to-view photos.
4. Optimization
Optimize the name of your item and its description using key words that shoppers can easily find in a search. Searches done on Main Street Fair are via title and description. We also offer a distance locator, making it simple for buyers to shop locally. Your search may be narrowed down my matching whole words, partial word match or by item # only. It is important you make it easy for potential buyers to find your item. Lastly, make sure your spelling is correct.
5. Response
Respond quickly to your buyer's requests, questions and purchases. Give your buyer feedback and, most likely, they will provide feedback for you in return.
6. Rating
Check out your buyer's rating.
7. Deliver/Pick Up
For items that are bought locally, please use safety sense when delivering an item or if the buyer is picking up an item. Please use caution when providing private information to a buyer.
8. Shipping costs
